Subscription-Based Ownership: The Biggest Lie In Tech

I do not like PlayStation plus or Xbox games pass. The reason why is because they allow you to download games, and feel as though you own them. However, you really don’t. Because if you leave the subscription service, you lose that game. So what they are affectively trying to do is rewrite what ownership means in and Orwellian way. And I truly do not resonate with that.

And I truly do not resonate with that. I would much rather have everything on the table, obvious, honest, upfront and transparent as is the case with Netflix and Amazon prime. I go into subscribing to those services in full knowledge that I will not own anything should I choose to leave the service.
