Why this catalogue is in two parts
Mega64 has featured an enormous amount of great music across hundreds of podcast episodes, so this catalogue is presented in two parts to make it easier to read and publish as separate Blogger articles. Part 2 continues with episodes 400 to 828, including bonus episode 688.5, following Part 1's coverage of episodes 1 to 399 and 399B. The catalogue key, song links, episode references and research sources are included here so this second article can be read on its own.
The recurring themes
The Lonely Horseman is credited to The Aquabats in the early index and can be matched acoustically in later openings. It should be distinguished from Sequence Erase, which Mega64’s own site identifies as the original public access series theme. The two songs occupy different parts of the group’s musical history.
BARx’s account gives a primary source for the pandemic era change. His 2020 theme began as the second place entry in the Mega64antine theme contest and was then selected for the main podcast. The extended recording is titled Mega64 Podcast Theme “Unsolved Mysteries Sequence Erase” on his Bandcamp page and develops the Sequence Erase melody. His later release is titled Mega64 Podcast Theme 2023. Both composer uploads are linked below, and matching entries in the catalogue link directly to the appropriate version.

Reading the catalogue
W means an archived wiki credit; L means a theme explicitly named in the link dump; M means an acoustic match to a reference recording; I means a song identified from an opening excerpt, with any uncertainty about the recording stated; N means a source explicitly records no theme; C means a provisional automated recognition candidate; and U means the music remains unidentified. A C entry is a lead for checking, not a confirmed credit. A U entry does not mean that no song played.
Song titles link to a specific YouTube video where a sufficiently clear match was found. A title followed by “YouTube search” opens a search instead. That label is also used for ambiguous covers, improvised performances and unspecified recordings. A link to an original song does not establish the exact recording heard in a crew performance. Episode links provide the recording or the archived episode page; Credit links identify the written source or recognition result.
Acoustic checks used opening excerpts, longer scans and, for some unresolved recurring themes, complete audio files. A match establishes the recording’s presence; its role as the opening theme still needs manual checking where the match occurs late. This is not a full listening audit of every episode. Timestamps locate a matching excerpt, rather than necessarily its first note, and inserted advertising can shift the current audio timing. The catalogue does not inventory every musical quotation or closing song.

Additional releases and numbering
Episode 399B is preserved as a distinct entry in the Mega64 archive. Bonus episode 688.5 appears under that number in its official audio filename and episode URL. The compact feed title mega64podcast777 is included as episode 777. The 2024 Podcast Rewind release of episode 297 is a reissue and is not counted as a new episode.
Mega64 Christmas Cast 2025. The current feed presents this release without a main podcast number. Its opening music remains unidentified in this research edition. Official episode Audio
Early Christmascasts that already carry main podcast numbers remain in the catalogue under those numbers. Unnumbered event streams and separate podcast series require their own release lists before an all streams music discography can be claimed.
